I hate to say it guys...but Im going to have to be the bad guy here and challange this....heres why...

Parise and Broudeur are awesome...Biron isnt even close to Brodeur and Hanzal is nothing close to Parise, Vasicek doesnt play in the NHL anymore and only a 2nd round pick?....sorry boys but I dont think that New Jersey is getting a fair deal here...

I also challange, this is simply ridiculous.
Parise is a superstar and should cost a hell of a lot more of young talent, not to mention moving the best goalie in the world.

This trade is simply way too lopsided

I'm gonna continue the trend and proprose this trade is ridiculous because not only is Philly getting the best goalie in the world and the best player in the trade in Parize, but they are also getting the better prospects.

Guys heres the deal. Brodeur is hurt and there is a very good chance that his rating is going to fall because of his lack of playing of playing time this year. Parise is good, I'll give you that but Hanzal is in only his second season in the league and is getting better with every game especially now that he is playing more with the injuries that Phoenix is having. As far as Vasicek goes he helps to fill the void that I have right now with the injury Madden. Also by acquiring Salo I add the highest rated defensemen that I can get my hands on.

brodeur isng going to rerate worse than a piece of garbage like biron. in fact, brodeur may not even rerate at all given the limited number of games he's played this year. and everything you said still doesnt explain why you'd throw in bergfors and tedenby.

and sami salo as the best D you could get your hands on?! for the love of god i said i was taking offers on chara!! and if you're willing to move parise and brodeur in deals i'd guaran-damn-tee you you could find a better D out there than salo.

i think when people criticize a deal that we explain ourselves with the semblance of rationale rather than react as though you just saw the flyers GM nailing your wife

Okay, first let me just say that it only takes one person to challenge. After that, the TC will take care of the rest.

Since I don't actually know who's on the TC, as Head I'll put my two cents through and Dev can do with it what he wishes.

I think Brodeur, despite his age, is still one of the top three goalies in the game today, if not the best. His recent injury will not affect his rating in any way except that his DU will take a minor hit. (Guys take bigger hits for multiple injuries, rather than one big one).

Parise is one of the best young forwards in the game today, and is pretty much the future of Jersey's offense. He's almost got 30 goals as it is.

While I think Hanzal may be one of the most underrated forwards in the game right now, he is in no way a replacement for either of those two guys...Biron, certainly not. Jersey is getting nothing back that justifies what they're giving up. Especially given the contracts of the two biggest parts of that deal. Throw in two prospects of that caliber...and this just doesn't make sense.

I move to veto.

Well, regardless of Skwids vote, it was still 2-0 in favor of a Veto. Skwids makes it unanimous.

This deal has been vetoed.

honestly, this is one of the least hostile challenged-trade threads ive yet to see in any of my 3 sim leagues.

its not like these things are being debated over tea, biscuits and tobacco pipes.

"wilson, my good man, would you pass me some more of that lovely tobacco and explain to me why in heavens name you think biron and salo are good compensation for one of the three best goaltenders of the modern era?"

::wilson passes tobacco::

"well, frederick, if i do say so myself, brodeur did have that frightful bicep injury.

quite right, quite right."
