i agree with the Wild, Carolina does get a lot in a 1st and a good prospect however they did give up a lot in Staal

Drayson Bowman is a very solid Defensive prospect and MacLean is a potential top 6 power forward. Add that and a first for Staal, plus a scoring vet like Jagr and this deal is very well rounded.

If both MacLean and Bowman live up to potential, this trade could be viewed as a steal for Carolina.
