Feedback and Whatnot

I don't really know what Dev has planned for this forum...but I'm assuming this was something he threw together quick. Once Dev gives me back my Adminly duties, I'll work on getting this place looking a little more professional and easier to read.

Don't blame Dev...his mother wasn't around to dress his forum for him.

If anyone has anything they want to say about the site or the forum (not the league...just the actual site or forum), then please do so in this thread. I will get to all concerns in a timely, if reluctant fashion.

Great job to Dev, for getting this all done in this amount of time.

I would like to see, however,

a new colour for the background stuff.
and the reply button saying reply, not post, or a quick reply box,
and having colours in your signature.

I've started adding the team forums. I'll finish them on Monday. For those who already have their team forum, feel free to use them. For those that don't, post in the most appropriate place and I'll move stuff around after.

The colour scheme has also changed...twice. Dev wanted the forum to match the site. Why? I don't know...gay people are funny that way. Anywho, it's not an exact match yet, but it will get there. Something I haven't figured out yet, but am working on, is how in the hell to keep us logged in. I'll let you know when I figure that out. In the meantime, make sure you're logged in at all times, as eventually all forums will be only open to posting by members.

Yes, the logo is kind of campy...not the 'logo' itself, but the way it's presented. I'll fix that too.

As for colours in your signature...umm, you can just make your signature a different colour.

Listen, I'm going to be honest about this because no one probably knows except for Dev, but I was given permission from him to create a new forum for the SDHL. Main reason was because I needed to be able to access it at work because that's where I am for 10-11 hours a day. Several months ago my employer went on a blocking rampage and started blocking shit left and right..therefore leaving me standing there with my dick in my hand...the bastards. That being said, I apologize if anyone is pissed off about getting a new forum, but you know what? Tough shit. I want to be more active, especially with a restart. And the most important way of doing that is by being able to get to a forum that isn't blocked because it's in the god damn "Chat Category". Now I'll definitely know what's going on in the league at all times and I'll be more easily available. Thank god.

Hope to see you all more often than before. And hope to see you all eating penguin shit during the new season.

Little things that I will be working on...this is a new admin panel for me, and it's not very organized. At least, not like other ones I've used. Signatures will show up as soon as I find that option.

I will also make it very apparent when there are new posts...these are things that will happen as I go. Right now I want to get the forum's boards and categories all in so people can post. With any luck, by the end of the day you'll have a tiny midget show up at your door in a goat costume and slap you upside the head to let you know there are new posts.

I'm thinking we should maybe move some teams around. Winnipeg really shouldn't be in the Pacific Division, and I'm thinking Hamilton should be in the Northeast. That said, perhaps moving Boston to the southeast, or Buffalo to the central? I know this creates issues with shifting teams around, but I'm thinking it should be done.

Buffalo is solid Northeast. Anywhere is else is kinda dumb.

Division changes were already discussed. Winnipeg switched divisions but that was it.

The league decided that it could maximize it's revenues by having two teams in Toronto that could host every team more then once. A better chance to maximize it's and every other teams exposure.

No other teams will be moving as of this time.

Yeah. That's two more then when I posted about this about a month ago.

And of the 22 users, one is ADMIN. One is obviously a BS user for spam posts. So that brings us back to 20 again.

Quick update:

As most of you can see, we've changed the forum colours to a much easier on the eyes black and red theme. All the mini-profiles you see in each post are now on the right, instead of the left...still unsure how I feel about that, but I suppose it's all what you get used to.

Another thing I've added is the ability to state what team you are in your mini-profile. This can be dealt with in your main profile section. It's at the bottom...just type in your team name. This way, it won't matter what your screen name or avatar is...your team name will be there.

Not sure how White on Black isn't easier on the eyes...I'll assume it's the red you can't seem to deal with, and I'll see what I can do about that.

Not sure why it changed in the first place as it was more than fine....the black background is driving me nuts but i can live with that....MAYBE!....your right though the red has got to go!

I would prefer a white background (traditional) should my opinion matter...And there is no way this is easier on the eyes!

Something else I've been working on:

In your profile, you will now see a link called Team Profile. This has a few fields you can fill out...though some have already been filled out for you. I believe you can upload a team image as well, if you wish.

I'm revamping the Power Rankings. After each sim, the program spews out its own version of the Power Rankings. I'll use these to come up with my own, but will call them 'Team Rankings'. I will also then factor in a 'GM Ranking', which is determined by a rating system of specific GM Attributes. Between the Team Ranking and GM Ranking, I will come up with the Power Ranking for each team.

It should be noted that it will still fall largely on team position within the Team Rankings...but for those that are slipping to the bottom, a good GM Ranking could elevate you a bit...just don't expect it to help you a lot.
