Québec agrees. We are extremely sad to lose our top player and leader in Daniel Alfredsson, but we're confident that we can find other leaders in our dressing room to pick up the slack. Losing Grossman also hurts, as he is a young defenceman we were confident in, and were looking forward to seeing his role increase. We wish these two fine men best of luck in Atlanta where they should be on an excellent hockey club.
On the flip side of things, we are extremely excited to be bringing in two very talented, young players and some extra cash. We are fully confident that Marc Staal will be able to play on a top defensive pairing soon, and are already extremely pleased with his mobility and defensive play. In Vermette, we get a very capable two-way forward with plenty of skill, and we're hoping he will find his niche in our group of top-six forwards. Both of these players will help immensely with our team's defensive game, and we are very much looking forward to their progressions.
