| I accept. The ducks start the process of reshapping the team for the future. |

| i feel as thought beauch is far far better than bryan allen especially now that he'll have a massively upgraded role on the PP... Ty Kennedy has been a force as a checker and will play with malkin this year... all for marginal acquisitions... i dont understand this deal at all | |

| Allen is an upgrade for me in the df category which I need. Kennedy has never been a force in any way. He's a useful checking line guy who I had a bunch of offers for. Nothing better then a late 2nd rounder. Also this deal addresses my need for a backup tender. As well as the problem of having too many impending ufas. |

| 15 goals, 20 assists, good df awareness in his second season in the NHL. id say he'll be a fantastic checking line player which is quite valuable, but whatever | |

| As i said decent player but calling him a force is a great exaggeration. I was taking offers for him. You could have made one. No other offers had him as anything more then an add on. |

| It means we are roommates. Does that mean we can't trade? No trading between friends would cut down the action in the league significantly don't you think? |

| My issue is with a solid young prospect who has the potential to be top 6 in Kennedy and a #2 D in Beauchemin heading to the Islanders for a D who didn't play last season in Allen, a back up goalie with little to no value and some mediocre prospects.
I've got to challenge here. I don't see the point in letting go players just because you think you can't resign them. Deadline day you can get a much higher return, RFA's are unlimited to resign and with Neidermayer going to retire, why give up such a solid replacement for poop?

| Beauchemin missed all year with a knee injury just like Allen did. And he Is at best #3 behind komisarek and kaberle this year. I wouldn't say Boucher has no value. He's the number two guy on a very good team, behind possibly te flakiest starter in the league. |

| Can't trade Injured players? Wasnt an injured goalie just traded for one of the to ranked goalies? |

| didn't say you couldn't...but who knows the extent of his injury which may leave his #2 status in question which is an argument you made for him having value! | |

| I don't know if this is challenge-worthy.
I like the deal more for the Islanders than for the Ducks, to be sure, but it's not like it's going to screw Anaheim over for years to come.
I think Beauchemin is in for a very good season in Toronto as the #3 guy, and will probably get loads of PP and PK time.
Allen is due for a bounce-back year, and is a very effective shutdown defenseman, but he has very limited offense. He's a #3/4 guy in Florida, but I would be incredibly surprised if he saw any PP time at all.
If you add Jeffrey and Gratchev to Allen, it offsets the loss of Beauchemin.
That leaves an overpaid goalie in Boucher (though he has the potential for some decent starts if Emery falters), an enforcer in Boll, and a 3rd-round pick that will likely amount to basically nothing, for a highly effective third-line player with the potential for some minutes with Malkin in Tyler Kennedy, and $2M.
Again, not a big fan of the deal for Anaheim, but is it challenge-worthy? I don't think so, but would be curious to hear what others have to say.

| I will not challenge, but I'm pretty close to doing it, anyways Dev challenged so theres no point in me doing so. First of all......why trade Beauch for a defender who's worse than him? Yeah Allen on paper might have better def but enough to trade your No. 2 defender for a guy who will play No. 5 or 6 in any team? Kennedy is good, don't know about playing with Malkin, but he'll be on the ice doing what he does, check and get some points, good 2nd liner, amazing 3rd liner. He should be kep, or traded to me The cash you get is much......2 mill, that's pretty good right there, you can possibly trade 2 mill for a 2nd rounder. Who;s this Dustin Jeffery guy? I wouldn't trade my Yr 8 4th rounder for him. And plz.....don't give me any bullshit that he is also gonna play with Malkin. LMAO Kennedy - Malkin - Jeffrey Jared Boll is bad.......3rd line farm guy, so that won't even make the NHL line up, but good checking rating. Gratchev is pretty much a dud.....so he isn't going anywhere......or playing anywhere. So, in conclusion, the Ducks traded Beauch + Kennedy + 2 mill= Injured D, beer league players and a 3rd........that isn't fair. | |

| People need to stop calling Beauchemin the #2 that's simply not true. Kaberle and komisarek are the top pairing. Beauchemin and Schenn have been named the second pair. Allen will be on the top shut down pair. With Mccabe on the top offensive pair. Who is Dustin Jeffrey? really? Solid two way prospect. |

| I will rework it. I really didn't see any problems with the deal. If someone is willing to offer me more for these two send me a message because up until now any trade involving Kennedy or Beauchemin were laughable. And to the Thrashers GM. Markov is my replacement for Niedermayer as my #1 defender. He's a 50- 60 point guy. Allen gives me a more solid defensive presence then I have with Beauchemin in the lineup. Markov is a great offensive defender and Beauchemin is a lot closer to that same player then Allen is.
