| I don't know if its just me or not, but I'm having a hard time with this trade. Semin is a star and lights it up, where I know schneider is playing now, but when Luongo comes back he'll go back to playing what 1 every other week?
I think this trade needs to be challenged.

| Yeah...I challenge this. I really think Semin should stay put. I could see him being traded for a ton of cash and several draft picks and nothing else. He's a very consistent player. | |

| Schnieder is the best goalie in the AHL and is one of the top 3 goalie prospects in all of hockey, I have no problem with the deal |

| Then why give up Semin, Kozlov and a draft pick for him? I think it should be the other way around. | |

| i feel this is fair as Schneider is a huge prospect, yes semin is great too. I feel them two cancel each other out, and that is what me and the caps gm came to an agreement on, the two stars are equal. If you have a problem with the rest of the deal let me know, but i think ur just worried about semin, honestly i find this fair otherwise i wouldnt have done it | |

| Hansen has some upside at RW, but Schneider is a few years away, and has not looked that great in the NHL. Grabner is a toss up. Semin is a solid player who plays on a line with Ovechkin with plenty of PP time. Kovlov is getting older and overacheiving. Steckel has plenty of upside too. I am never one to stand in the way of a trade, but this one appears to be too lopsided towards the Canucks. I agree with building for the future but trading away Ovechkin and now Semin a little strange, but it is your team. |

This is the problem with many leagues, I think. Instead of teaching our GMs to be better, we write them off. I've made my share of questionable deals, and I've learned from them. I've been one of those GMs that others think should be let go...it's not fun, and it's difficult to get a foothold in a league when everyone's out to have you 'canned'. That said... Alexander Semin is injured, but was leading the league before his first injury. He came back and did not slow down...he's currently on pace for 100pts and is an alarming +20. That alone puts him among the elite in the league. Never mind that almost half his points are goals. Kozlov may be 33, but that makes him all the more valuable. Why? Because to have a guy with his EX and LD on your team while having solid offensive stats and an attractive contract makes him a very tradeable commodity. A guy like him could fetch a great deal at the deadline from a contender looking to bolster their lineup for the home stretch. Either one of these guys could take the package offered by Vancouver. No, giving up Schneider for Kozlov wouldn't be smart...but understandable if the Nucks were going after the cup. I could send this to the TC...but I already know what they'd say. So, I'm just going to go ahead and ask that this deal be reworked. Should either of you need any help with assessing players' values, feel free to contact me.

| This deal has been voted down by the TC.
Basically you can copy and paste what Skwid wrote and put it here. The league hopes a deal can be reworked between the two parties, but warns that neither is obliged to rework the deal.
