| I`m tired of looking through the old oilers habs deal things so I`m just posting a new one
Sorry Joe for the inconvinience
To Edm: Mathieu Aubin + Mtl yr 3 4th + Prospects Jason Missiaen , Phillipe Paquette and Micheal Ratchuck
To Mon: Cogs
it is B.S. if people call this one out. Missaien is going to play 1 more year of junior then go to the squad the NCAA released Ratchuck to go to Habs training camp and allowed him to get a contract if he can and Paquette, well he`s Paquette.
Aubin will be a solid C man in Hamilton next year and might be a call up...
Habs will be happy to have Cogs when he comes

| same. Andrew Cogliano is a prime young player drafted in 1st round with high expectations to be quite good once he matures. Nothing Edmonton receives is worth anything in my opinion. Late picks, Missaien sucks, Ratchuk is the only piece that could eventually make it. Now i dont understand why Edmonton wants to deal Cogliano that bad, and why does he want obscure prospects for him... but i guess it's his choice. | |

| Please don't anyone take me the wrong way here, I don't mean to come across as a jerk or anything...
but we have a lot of new faces in the league right now, and it's great to see them all actively attempt to put their own spin on their team. However it might be a good idea for newcomers to run their trade by a third party before posting it. Just a suggestion.
I'm not criticizing anyone here, but sometimes player and prospect value is tough to get a handle on. Skwid, Joe, and Dev have all taken turns at commish around here and could offer good insight as a third party. Also any other "veteren" SDHL member.
There's nothing wrong with seeking a second or third opinion on a trade before you commit.

| Or at the very least, shop aruond your players. If Edmonton would start talking to other teams they would find out that Cogs' value is higher then he's getting from the Habs. |

| yes, you guys are correct. after a few questionable trades, i've been talking to a few gms before i make any deal or even decide on an offer. def. helps and is a good starting point for some experience | |

| None of my players are on the trade block. If someone comes to me I'll listen, sometimes I might like a player or I have no interest in what you have. At some point I will put players on the block if I want movement. If the Cogliano deal gets turned down I'l happily take him back. I made the deal with Montreal and I will stand by that deal. If people think I got burned and I wind up getting burned I'll have to live with that. The deal has been made and accepted by both teams so I will stand by that deal. I'm not going to back out of a deal both teams have accepted because of negative feedback. If the deal is tossed so be it. I respect your opinions about the trade and am not offended, I've made the deal and I have to stand by it. | |
